{"id":71917,"date":"2024-12-20T11:27:43","date_gmt":"2024-12-20T11:27:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joelagordon.com\/?p=71917"},"modified":"2024-12-20T11:27:43","modified_gmt":"2024-12-20T11:27:43","slug":"1-teacher-killed-7-children-injured-in-bexar-county-car-accident-at-excelled-montessori-plus-daycare-preschool","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/2020joelagordon.houstonwrongfuldeathlawyer.com\/wp\/accident-news\/1-teacher-killed-7-children-injured-in-bexar-county-car-accident-at-excelled-montessori-plus-daycare-preschool.html","title":{"rendered":"1 Teacher Killed, 7 Children Injured in Bexar County Car Accident at ExcellED Montessori Plus Daycare Preschool"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One Killed, Several Children Hurt in Bexar County Car Accident Accident at ExcellED Montessori Plus Daycare Preschool<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_71314\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-71314\" style=\"width: 963px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-71314\" src=\"https:\/\/joelagordon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/I-10-and-katy-Fwy.png\" alt=\"Bexar County Car Accident\" width=\"963\" height=\"416\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-71314\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><strong>1 Teacher Killed, 7 Children Injured in Bexar County Car Accident at ExcellED Montessori Plus Daycare Preschool<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>San Antonio, TX.-<\/strong> A teacher was killed and several children were injured in an incident where a vehicle crashed into them at the ExcellED Montessori Plus Daycare Preschool in San Antonio on Thursday afternoon, according to the Bexar County Sheriff&#8217;s Office.<\/p>\n<p>The<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ksat.com\/news\/local\/2024\/12\/19\/crash-reported-at-montessori-school-along-i-10-in-nw-bexar-county-officials-say\/\"> wreck took place<\/a> at the school located along Interstate 10 West Frontage Road shortly before 4 p.m. December 19.<\/p>\n<p>According to the report, a driver experienced a medical condition and accelerated, crashing into a second car.<\/p>\n<p>Both cars then slammed through a fence and hit a teacher, in her 20&#8217;s, and children playing in the field.<\/p>\n<p>The teacher who was struck was pinned by one of the cars.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities said the teacher was pronounced deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>A second teacher and five children were taken to a hospital for treatment of their injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Another adult and two children were treated at the scene and released.<\/p>\n<p>Authorities said a parent had loaded her children into her vehicle when, for some reason &#8211; believed to be a medical episode, she accelerated and crashed into another car. Both vehicles crashed through a fence into a playground when the teacher and the children were.
